HELP!!!  Please contact Ms. Tipton if you can assist with our 1st grade field day.  Rain or shine (8:30-10:00 am )
We are looking for parents that can  help rotate to the 5 stations that we are planning.    If you have any ideas for the stations please let me know.  We are not having a school-wide field day, so we are planning morning activities for the students.  Please have your child wear tennis shoes on this day!

DOJO store at 1:00 on 27th
Student led Class Room Conferences at 10:45 on May 28th.

Today we reviewed contractions.   We will not take a weekly spelling assessment, but we are working on the contraction skill and proper usage of contractions in complete sentences.

Jordon Turner celebrated her 7th birthday today.
Here are the students that will have birthdays over the summer break.  We want to wish them all a "happy early birthday!"
The word of the day was metamorphosis.   We learned about the changes that take place in the life of a butterfly.
Jordon's mom stopped by to celebrate her special day with her daughter.
Jordon selected the balloon for the "pop" count down.  We will have  a water balloon toss on Wednesday May 27th.  This will be part of our class Field Day.   Please let Ms. Tipton know if you can assist with field day.

Students all took turns reading today's book about butterflies. Ms.Fizzle helped us learn all about the life cycle of a butterfly.

Students learned to compare and contrast butterflies and mothes

The First Grade performed the "California Slide" during the school-wide dance party.
