May 12-14 MAP REWARDS

Darrian was the guest reader on Tuesday.  Here is the book that he shared with the class.  Darrian has greatly improved his reading fluency this year.
Share Day the Tuesday "Balloon Countdown Reward".  Students enjoyed sharing after we took the MAP math assessment.

It  is back to reading club time.    The students are looking forward for the completion of Charlotte's Web.  It's amazing to have students reading on this ability level.
Movement time!

Ms. Tipton took the class outside for lunch.  They all worked hard on MAP math.  It is a beautiful day for eating outside.

Caleb was the reader on Wednesday.   He not only read the books, but also sang the songs .  He has as wonderful voice.

The class enjoyed the Pronoun Scoot activity.  Many students need to review this skill.

The students took turns reading the scoot problems and teaching the class the answers.  This review was important.

The Cardinals are reviewing reading skills that they have learned through the year.
The wildcats are doing the same.
On Wednesday our "balloon pop reward" was PJ day.
Take a look at the 4 students that "Climbed the Highest" this year on MAP math.   Anthony went up 37 points, Addie-32 points, Andy-30 point, Cameron D. 38 points.   GREAT WORK!!!!!
Here are the 4 students that had the highest MAP Math scores.   Cayden Clem-214, Anthony Gannone - 211, Nicholas Epperson-208, Macy Garcia-202.    Amazing work.   All of these students are in the 90percentile and above.
Look at all the students that met their individual MAP Math goal for the year.
Here are all the students that scored at least 179- which is grade level for the end of first grade.
We are very proud of each student.  Everyone showed tremendous gains this year.

On Friday at 1:00 we will celebrate with an ice cream Sunday party.  Ms. Tipton is providing all the ice-cream, bowls, spoons and syrups.  We are looking for donations of toppings.
