Reminders; Winter Wonderland tonight Dec. 16th from 5:30-8:00 ( First grade lines up at 5:15 in the hallways) The first grade preforms at 5:30-6:05. Supper will be served throughout the night.
Wednesday is Polor Express Day. Students may wear their pajamas. Also, we MAP test at 9:35. Remind your child to try their hardest.
Thursday; Holiday's Around the World and MAP testing at 8:05
Friday: Class play at 12:30, and Winter celebration back in the room following the party.
Today's Activities:
Sparkle left the students a special treat today and a note. He brought them all a coloring book. Every child earned the reward for their hard work and excellent behavior. He is really watching them.
Make sure you praise your child for their work habits.
Layton decoded the note that Sparkle left and he read it to the class.
Eddie's mom made a special peppermint treat for everyone in the class. It was a nice surprise and went right along with our reindeer ABC order activity.
Our daily choral reading activities are lots of fun. We are singing and reading the lyrics to our favorite holiday songs. Keep in mind that reading all types of text is important. This is text to entertain. The "E" from the author's choice.
The students had dress rehearsal for their performances at 5:30 tonight.
Sparkle made a HUGE mess in our room today while we were in the gym practicing. He also left a note for our class.
Sparkle was inside Jordan O's stocking upon our return to the class. He slept the rest of the day. We think he was tired from messing up our room!
We all worked on ABC order to the third letter. Ask you child to explain what they learned today.
Each student presented their Holiday tradition homework. They were graded on the presentation skills. Stop by and read some of the entries. They are on the wall outside our classroom.
We are working hard on memorizing our parts for the play. Please assist your child to learn their part. I stapled parts in their agendas on Monday.
We worked on problem and solution. Ask your child the problem and solution from Mooseltoe.
