Today we used our dry erase boards to work on phoneme segmentation of our spelling words.
Then the students illustrated their own clothing and added adjectives to better describe what they were wearing.
London Blythe is the Super Star Student of the week. She shared her All-About-Me chart with the class.
Ms. Tipton meets daily with individual reading skill groups. We are using a variety of strategies to improve reading fluency and comprehension. Today we used magic highlighter rocks to assist us in following along, highlighting phonemes, and locating punctuation marks at the end of each sentence.
Ask your child to explain the "P" in author's purpose. "P" stands for persuade. We introduced persuasive Polly and her story today.
Santa sent our class a message/video today. He was a little disappointed in overall classroom behavior. Please remind your child that our expectations are always the same. We need to have a learning atmosphere that is conducive of the Hearn Expectations.
We continue to have a high number of students out due to illness. We are encouraging hand-washing, use of hand sanitizor , and thoroughly cleaning our room daily.
