Mr. Miller volunteered as a Watchdog on Thursday. We were happy that he stopped by our room to help us add our names to the stockings. Sparkle delivered the stockings to us. Due to our fabulous behavior on Wednesday, Santa sent each student a stocking. He also left a note for the children. He will be bringing one treat per day to our class. Students that are following the Hearn expectations will get the item added to their stockings.
Sparkle also brought us a huge pinata. Pinata's are an important tradition in Mexico. We have several students that have Mexican ancestry, and we will break the snowman in January.
Sparkle got a little sick at his stomach on Thursday. He rode around on our ceiling fan all day long. He watched us the entire time.
We worked hard on learning when to add commas.
Our room was filled with glitter, but our stocking are shining just us. Shiny is an adjective!
Nicholas Epperson is the student that will represent our class as the Hearn All Star Leader. Congratulate Nicholas on his excellent work habits and behavior. We are proud of him!
Mr. and Mrs. Epperson attended the morning assembly on Friday, so they could congratulate their son. I want to thank them for volunteering to help us hang out stocking off our desks.
Sparkle left a Friday treat for all the students that he observed following the Hearn expectations. Yo-yo's can be lots of fun!!
Ms. Gannone was the Friday mystery reader. A Huge thanks to her for not only reading, but staying and helping Ms. Tipton turn our doorway into a Gingerbread house, and set up all the German displays. I am always looking for helping hands. Every little bit can make a difference in the learning that takes place in our room.
Addie Hornbeck was the principal for the day on Friday. She earned this privilege because she was the highest seller during the school fund raiser.
Each child made an invitation to our upcoming play. We used our writing skills to make sure that you all know when, where, who and why we are inviting families and friends to join our class on Friday Dec. 19th at 12:30, for the play "A Flee On Santa's Tree." Please check our child's backpack for several important notes that went home in a clear baggy on Friday. The notes give all the needed details about next week's activities.
Please RSVP if you are planning on attending our play and if you are going to join us for lunch. We need to let the cafeteria know how much food to have on hand. We hope to see many of you in attendance.
