Red Ribbon Assembly

Students worked in small groups today, while Ms. Tipton worked one-on-one with individual students.  Every child meets at least weekly with Ms. Tipton.  The students used magazines to locate short vowel words and pictures.  This group worked on short "a".
This group located short "i" words.
Short "o" group.
Short "u" table work.
Ms. Tipton works individually with students to help each child focus on stretching with individual growth and development.

The Thursday Hippo group read their weekly reading assignment with Ms. Prather.  They all did a fabulous job.  Remember every child will be bringing home a reading buddy bag weekly.  They have one week to read the story and complete the work.  Ask your child to tell you the day that their group meets.
We Cardinal Reading Club is working hard every day.
We learned how to use highlighter mystery rocks today. They are glass stones that help magnify the words. It is a technique used to help us follow along with the text.   They children really enjoy mixing up the learning process.

We had a drug free assembly today.  We celebrated living our lives drug free.  Ron Cole lead us in a dance filled, music filled, and inspirational filled fun time.  Make sure to ask your about the fun and learning that took place today!!
