The School wide fundraiser kicked off on Thursday.
Students will earn penguins for every 2 sales that they submit. Each child can earn up to 20 different penguins.
Students are really getting into the groove of the daily five routine.   Look at what read to self looks like in our room.
 This is read to someone.

These students are working at the writing center.  They are using the weekly spelling words in complete sentences.  Watching for capitalization and punctuation marks.

Making words center.  Playing head bands with the weekly short e words.

Ms. Tipton  held conferences  with each student about their current progress.  She helped individual students set goals for the next grading period.

We are working on various ways to add numbers to 10 ( triangle group is working on numbers to 30)

On Friday's we have sustained silent reading following our library checkout time.   We are working on building our reading stamina.    Each Student can read quietly for up to 15 minutes. That is reading wonderful!

We had fun Friday activities.   We assessed our knowledge of common and proper nouns through a read and sort the nouns found around the room.

Anthony had a very special guest today.  His Ani- from Colorado stopped by for a short visit.  We love having guest visit.

Each student had an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of common and proper nouns.

Several students then read all the words on the chart out loud to the other students.  Nicholas is the only one that read from the Proper Noun Chart.
We worked on questions today.  Everyone should now understand the question mark.
