Hopping on the Number lines

Understanding the facts of ten are reciprocal.  1+9 or 9+ 1.  


We completed another chapter book. 
Students completed reading questions about Junie B and her monkey brother that match our leaning targets. 

We are learning to hop on the number line to solve addition problems.  Problems are differentiated based on individual students current development and understanding of number sense.  This child is working on problems with sums of 30.  He has two number lines to use to solve his problems.  
We actually hopped on the large class number line to better understand the strategy. 



Reading clubs each have one reading assignment to complete for homework this week.
