Tomorrow will be our class field trip to the Newport Aquarium. We would like for the students to wear one of their Wellington T-shirt.
Our guest readers did a wonderful job. They both read fluently to the class. Way to go Nicholas and Breanna!
On Tuesday we spent our Literature Club time reading over the words to the BUGZ songs.
We love adding movement to songs and poems.
We added last minute touches to our BUGZ dance.
We had a final dress rehearsal in our room.
I do not have any pictures of the BUGZ performance, but I videoed it. I know that each one of you must be pleased with your child's performance and speaking voices. Everyone did a phenomenal
job!!
After the performance the class had special certificates and bug catchers for all their hard work. I hope they reflect back on their performances as they catch bugs this summer.
This week we are working on multiplication and division. I am so proud of all their math skills. They are using manipulative to understand these math skills.
Next week grades 3-5 will be involved with K-prep testing. We have adopted Ms. Hisle's room as our testing buddies. Students paired with at least one child. They shared what makes them special. They recorded information in their journals. We will be sending special messages of encouragement each day to our friends. Ask your child the name of their new friend(s).
We look forward an education field trip tomorrow. Don't forget that we will arrive back at Wellington between 4:00 and 4:30.
