Jacob was the our guest reader on Thursday.  What a fabulous job of reading.
Ask your child how we used Taco Bell Sauce packs to determine the 4 different types of sentence.

Each student should have brought home their own design page.
Conference Night was successful.   I enjoyed listening to the students share their individual yearly progress with their families.  It was amazing to hear how well they each conveyed their accomplishments.  Thank you to all the families that attended.  I apologize for not taking a picture of each family.

Our 3rd grade testing buddies continue to get our support each day.  Yesterday we sent them each a cookie stating " You are one smart cookie!"   Today, they stopped by and our class gave them each a starburst and a High Five: " Your a star bursting with knowledge."

Every student worked hard on our weekly phonics review.  After our group assessment the students had an opportunity to use one of their gold coins to purchase a NO Spelling Assessment day.   Ask your child about this special treat. ( P.S. - I monitored their individual spelling while they were writing the words on their white boards. )

The Wildcat reading club is hoping to finish their latest Chapter book by next week.   They are reading a Nancy Drew mystery book.   We can't wait to find out what's next.  As we read we are locating the 4 different types of text within the story plot.
Each day we are discovering our class treat as we count down the last 10 days of the year.   Today everyone joined Ms. Tipton for lunch bunch.

Sydney read with strong voice and fluency today.   We can't wait to hear our guest readers next week.

Have a safe and wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!!

We also want to wish Jenny save travel to the Ukraine.  Today was her last day of school for the 2013-2014 school year.

August 13th – First Day of Classes for students!
