Only two students followed all the Hearn rules for the week. We want to congratulate Prisalla Dunn, and Maddox Rose for their excellent work habits. They are truly great role models for all students to follow. They received a special treat. Way to go!!!
We are learning how to eat proper amounts of each food group, and how to classify food into the proper food groups. Students worked in teams to place food items in their correct categories.
Today was a busy day and the students used the ipad all day long to practice various language arts and math skills. Ms. Tipton worked with individual students on various skills. She also assessed each student using the following rubric.
The students each retold the story Golidlocks and the other Three Bears to Ms. Tipton. Every child has shown growth in their student reading goal. Students need to be able to identify the characters, setting and the central message (main idea) a story.
Today was share day. Students are working on taking turn, communicating in an appropriate tone/voice level, and how to ask a good question.
Stop by our hall and view the new adjective display.
We had two fabulous guest readers today. Make sure and check the calendar for your child's date to read aloud to their peers. This is a graded activity.
Enjoy the weekend.
