September 22

Our class has been learning about the fall equinox
Our class has been learning about the fall equinox. We discussed the end of summer and the beginning of fall.
Our phonics lessons this week are on the short I sound. Students are enjoying listening to the short I song.

We are assessing nouns. Every student should now be able to identify nouns in a sentence.

Number Bonds are fun to complete with partners.

Teams of students picked one representative to share their number bond sentence with the class.

Our class is working on understanding the difference between being a bucket filler, and being a bucket dipper.
Words and actions can either improve our lives or completely devastate the lives of others.

Take a look at our end of summer class picture.
Number bonds represent part, part , whole.
Students take turns solving the morning work for the entire class.

We are working on Calendar skills daily.
Calendar  time involves movement time too!

We are moving on to Singular  and plural nouns.
Today was Mr. Lee's birthday. Each student made him a card. He stopped by to thank us for the cards and we sang happy birthday to him!
We continued our lesson on being a bucket filler or a bucket dipper.

Mr. Counts stopped by for our first guidance lesson. We look forward to seeing him every other Tuesday from 1:30.  until 2 o'clock.
