We are working hard on informational/explanatory text.  Today we wrote a recipe for how to make a Coke Float- also focusing long "o".  Ask you child to show their recipe.

We want to wish a warm Team Tipton welcome to Ms. Leslie Bardo.   She is from the University of Kentucky and will be completing a variety   of course work tasks in our room. She arrived just in time to assist with our Coke Floats.

We had a very special celebrity reader today.  It was Betty Stewart.  She is Brody's great grandmother.  She is formally know as "The Magic Garden Lady." She was starred  on television and was a delight to have as a reader.

We read this book and talked about using our imagination while we read.  Reading can take your mind to far away places and lots of new experiences.
