We enjoyed getting to dress as our favorite characters in a Dr. Seuss book.
Some teachers and children wore crazy socks today...
 And some wore crazy hairstyles.

Make sure you ask your child about what they chose when they cashed in their Dojo points.  We will start at "0" again next week.  Every child that had 75 Dojo's and above got to participate in making a special informational text recipe- Green Eggs and Ham.  Ask your child if they got to enjoy this tasty treat.  Don't forget that you can monitor Dojo points from home.   There are many ways to earn Dojo rewards.

We had lots of choices.  The children will have the entire month of March to chose when they want to use their reward certificates. If your child selected to have lunch with the teacher and receive a special treat, this will take place next Friday.

Ms. Leslie worked with the children as they made their choices.   We are so glad she was here to help us today.
The children rotated to at least three different times to partner read today.  10 minutes at each station. It is simply amazing to see how much growth each child has made.  Keep up the reading at home.
Make sure you as kyour child about their favorite Dr. Seuss book that they read today.

We are working  Animal Research/ informational text power points.

We are working on learning how to put information in our own words.  We have learned about plagiarism.
Mrs. Blankenship is working with us on this project.  She is going to teach us how cite our sources.

Ms. Leslie was our Friday guest reader.

We will take our assessment over Data and Graphing on Monday.  Today we played a dice game and recorded our data using tally marks. Students should all know how to interrupt   information.  Watch for your child to bring home there assessment for a parent signature.  They should come home on Monday, but it all depends on the weather.

Have a fabulous weekend.   Consider volunteering in our room.  We welcome helping hands.

Celebrate I Love To Read activities

Don't forget that we are reading the book  Good Night Moon tomorrow.  We will celebrate this literary bedtime classic by wearing our favorite pajamas and slippers to school!

On Friday the children may bring any Dr. Seuss book that they might have at home.  Please mark your name  on each book.   Dr. Seuss is all about being yourself, as wild and wacky as that may be!  Crazy hair, crazy socks, let your imagination rock!  Dress as the "me" you want all to see, as kooky and colorful as that may be!!
