Wonderful Watermelon Writer's Workshop.  Ask you child about some of today's activities. 

 

 We read a book entitled The Contest.    The main characters were Jay and Andy.  Ask you child to tell you about the contest that these boys played.

 We flooded the room, because watermelons sink.  

 Our class watermelon weighed 20 pounds.

 

 Brody also shared a pumpkin that he grew.  We will study the growth process more next week.

Eating the watermelon was tasty and messy. 

 We had our own watermelon seed spitting contest.  It was lots of fun!!!
