We will plant our Gardens tomorrow

The class enjoyed completing a variety of "egg shaped" centers.

Friday will conclude our Fairy Tale unit.  We all have enjoyed studying fairy tales and twisted fairy tales.
The word work center instructions were to make contractions.  Ask your child which contraction that they made from the egg shaped pattern.
Playing cards are great ways to practice basic math facts.
We learned about the importance of coal in the state of KY.  Each child mined their own samples to bring home and share.

We used the cards to add numbers with regrouping.   Most students can now add numbers up to three place values in length.
Don't forget that tomorrow is the awards ceremony in the cafeteria at 10:00.   Keep in mind, that if your child is receiving an award I notified you via email.  We only give out a limit number of awards each grading period.
