Today was Review Friday and we worked with small groups of students that needed just a little bit of extra teach time.   We also worked on extension activities with students that are ready to move forward with their learning. It was lots of fun for all.

We are really wiggly, so we took time out to Tooty Ta today.   I will build in lots of opportunities for movement during this last grading period.  The warm weather often leads to more need for us to try harder to focus our learning time.

Ms. Leslie taught a wonderful review lesson on Comparing and Contrasting Fairy Tales.  The students used Venn Diagrams to compare two versions of the classic Fairy Tale: Little Red Riding Hood.  The second version of the story was a twisted Fairy Tale.

Adam Gullion's family shared their chicken friend "Batgirl" with our class today.
Adam and Mr. Greg shared chicken facts with the students.

Mr. Greg and Adam read to the class.  We want to thank them both for being our "Mystery Readers."
Don't forget that we need mystery readers each Friday at 10:15.  Please contact Ms. Tipton if you would like to read to the class.
Each student had an opportunity to pet Badgirl.
 Check out her feathered talons.

This is the book that the Gulliom's shared with us today.
Ask yours child about our mystery number hundred's board  game we played today.  We are working on counting on, counting backwards, skip counting by 1s, 2s, 3s, 5s....  to determine missing numbers.

We also played "I have...  who has.." the blend game.   Blends were assessed today. Your child should be bringing home their phonics assessments for a parent signature.

A huge thank you to Adam for the special Friday treat. It was enjoyed by all.
