Welcome back to school. It's a brand new year- 2014 and we have a new format for the morning bell ringers. Ethan is solving one of the various review questions.
Jake is also answering and questions and explaining his answer to the class.
We participated in many New Year activities today. Make sure you ask your child about the new year's goal that I made for each one of them. They too set individual growth goals.
Nadeer celebrated his birthday today. Delk and Anna had birthdays during the break, so we sang to them today.
The students are using the game Head Bands to use their questioning techniques. We are working on asking and answering questions for informational text.
The students all took a 2nd quarter assessment. It is just one of the many measurement tools that I will use score the children on the upcoming report cards.
We wanted to end 2013 with a BANG!!! so each student blew up a balloon and then popped the past year. We are now ready to focus of skills that will prepare them for 2nd grade.
Let's all prepare for learning as much as we can during the last 1/2 of the school year!
