Fun Day and Awards Day

We had internet troubles yesterday, so I apologize for the long blog.  I wanted to still post all the Fun Day pictures.  I hope you enjoy looking at what we did over the past two days.
Don't forget that we will have awards in our classroom at 8:00 tomorrow morning.  I hope to see every family member.

Take a look at all of our Fun Day Adventures!!!!

Make sure you ask your child to explain their favorite station.

Tug-a-War was a big hit for many of our students.

The Human Knot had us all tied up!!  It was quite a challenge to get out of the tangle.

The three legged race wasn't as easy as it looks.

Each student received a calculator as a gift from Ms. Tipton.  They used them to deduct Dojo $$'s as they shopped at the class store.

Make sure you ask your child how many Dojo's they earned this grading period.   Also, have them explain what purchases they made with their money.  This was the closure to our Economic and Money  units.
The store would not have been possible without the help of our parent volunteer: Ms. Perkins.  She was our cashier.  A HUGE thank you to her for her countless number of hours helping our class and Ms. Tipton!!

We had a guest reader today too.  She is one of Ms. Tipton's friends.  She read several Froggy Books to our class. This allowed Ms. Tipton to assist student as they shopped at the class store.

The learning hasn't stopped in Team Tipton.  We are going to enjoy the learning process until the last minute of the final day.  I promise to make it enjoyable, yet educational for all.,

Ask your child about our Literature Club activity today.  They should be able to give you an example of an onomatopoeia .

Literature Club was whole group today.

.
The students enjoyed today's countdown treat.  They were allowed to read in any position that they seleted.    We completed our class chapter book Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew. The author is Carolyn Keene.
Many of the students would enjoy reading books in this series.  Look for them in the local library.
Students were allowed to read in any position that they selected today, as long as they followed along.  It was one of our countdown treats.

Our movement song was : "What would the Fox say."

We practiced our addition and multiplication skills by playing bingo math.

Wishy Washy Room clean activities sparked the interest of the students. Our room is nice and clean.

I hope to see every family tomorrow morning at 8:00 in our classroom.  Each child will receive a special award!  I will provide pizza for the class in the afternoon.
